Body Double

Brian DePalma's 1984 thriller Body Double is a great movie with a great soundtrack. Composer Pino Donaggio's work features classic orchestrated pieces mixed with some new-age and topped off with some 80's rockin-electronic riff tracks near the end.

Schwarze Welt

I heard this song about 2 weeks ago and love it. Raw all-girl Neue Deutsche Welle/electro-punk, dark and dancey.

LoneLady + Sad Lovers And Giants

Manchester based LoneLady just released her single Immaterial on Warp. I was surprised to hear such a brit poppy, classic alternative sound coming out from them, but this song is great. Its got a strong Echo & The Bunnymen/Kitchens of Distinction sound to it.

Then we have Vendetta by Sad Lovers And Giants. A great slow, post punk gem with a haunting guitar melody and string synth that always reminds me of Showtime's Masters of Horror theme song.

Monster In Black Tights

Everyone needs to hear this romantic, catchy, campy tune by Screaming Lord Sutch & The Savages. The original horror-punk/death-rockers!

The Snake Corps

I recently discovered The Snake Corps, a late eighties/early nineties post-punk group very similar to The Chameleons, with a more dream-pop feel to the music rather than the conventional up-beat rock bands of the era. The slower, melody driven track featured here Everything Turns Blue is off their 1990 album Smother Earth.
